Hassan Al-Sayed provides strategic leadership to the Government Information Management Office (GIMO) and oversees the development of the
integrated e-government (i-Gov) plan aligned to the National ICT Strategic Plan. His role includes extensive coordination with heads of IT within ministries and government entities to promote government-wide IT architecture, standards and infrastructure.
Al-Sayed has more than 14 years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on IT strategic planning, and has handled numerous large-scale projects. A Qatari national, Al-Sayed also has hands-on experience in various operating systems, hardware management services and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software applications with extensive ERP knowledge.
Previosuly, Al-Sayed served on thei-Gov program steering committee and also served as Deputy Executive Director for GIMO. Prior to ictQATAR, he worked for with Qatar Telecom Corp (Q-Tel) as Head of Technical Support.
Al-Sayed holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from University of Essex, UK. He also has a technology diploma in Computer Science from Qatar University, Doha.
