As Director of Planning and Institutional Relations, Peter Kruger is responsible for ictQATAR's strategic planning and project management as well as establishing partnerships with international ICT bodies, government ministries, and private sector entities. Since coming to ictQATAR in 2006, Kruger and his team has established strategic alliances with Singapore's Infocomm Development Authority and The Republic of Korea's Ministry Information. The Planning and Institutional Relations Department also oversees ictQATAR's duties as the State of Qatar's representative to the International Telecommunications Union.

Kruger is a project and program management veteran with over 20 years experience in various industries and sectors, with a focus on projects in ICT. He has managed projects across the EMEA region and prior to joining ictQATAR, he held the position of IT Programs Director at Saudi Arabia's National Information Centre. He also held positions in South Africa at Oracle, Nedcor and MGX Group.

Educated in Civil Engineering and Strategic Project Management at Pretoria Technikon and Stanford University respectively, Kruger is also a PMP Certified Project Manager.
