Hosted by ictQATAR, Business Connect is a series of seminars highlighting the latest thinking in information and communication technology (ICT) for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

ICT usage helps SMEs to realize new efficiencies and increase competitiveness. Through Business Connect, ictQATAR strives to bring business and ICT together. With presentations from international experts, interactive panel discussions and local case studies Business Connect demonstrates how ICT can drive productivity.

Business Connect is open to managers from SMEs in Qatar with up to 99 employees.

Business Connect 2010: ICT in Retail

ictQATAR will hold its third Business Connect seminar on Saturday, March 20, 2010 in Al Sharq Village & Spa, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

Business Connect: ICT in Retail will focus on how retail enterprises can leverage ICT to overcome economic challenges and surpass competition.

Hear from regional experts and business owners on how they have used ICT to grow their customer base, reach new markets and increase profits. Specific issues that will be discussed are:

• E-Commerce
• Web design and development services
• E-Marketing - building customer loyalty through online applications
• Leveraging social networks, such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn

After the seminar there will be an exhibition of companies that have successfully utilized ICT in their businesses. Representatives from each company will discuss their strategies and their business solution offerings.

In 2010, ictQATAR is holding sector specific seminars to better help meet the needs of the different types of SMEs in Qatar.
