School children in Qatar can exchange ideas and share experiences with students around the world through Global Gateway. ictQATAR has partnered with The British Council, the worldwide Global Gateway operator, to connect Qatar's students and teachers to an international portal designed to enrich the learning experience.

Since launching in 2004, Global Gateway has formed strategic partnerships with 45 countries in five continents. The portal allows teachers to share instructional resources and young people to learn about life in other countries.

Through Global Gateway , students conduct simultaneous experiments with peers on the other side of the globe. They cooperate on projects, as well as gain first-hand views on debates and global issues. Teachers can maximize their time by using Global Gateway  to pinpoint online resources that are up-to-date and age-appropriate.
