Q-CERT has been established as Qatar's premier national and regional organization to conduct and coordinate comprehensive cyber-security activities. This role is essential for adequately protecting critical infrastructure as IT permeates government, business and educational operations.

Q-CERT is Qatar's national computer security incident response team: IT professionals who protect computer control systems in our country and throughout the region.

Q-CERT collaborates with government agencies and industry to establish the highest security standards and practices. Because cyber-security is not confined within national boundaries, Q-CERT works with international partners, such as FIRST, who share the goal of improving the region's information security.

By teaming up with the renowned CERT Program in Pennsylvania, United States of America, Q-CERT is gaining experience and expertise from one of the world's oldest center for information security.
